What areas do you feel you strengthened in the past 10 weeks?

Hello everyone,
I have always loved to write but my editing was not always so good. I think my editing skill have really strengthened. Now I know how to replace words that are over used and to look for run-on sentences. I also think my writing is a better quality than before as well. I also know how to better research a topic like be specific when looking sources. I think this class really helped me to become a much better writer. I think my prewriting skills has also strengthened. When I prewrite I am able to express myself as well as get my ideas out on paper. I really enjoyed this class and I am glad I had the opportunity to improve on my overall writing process. I am just glad that this class has been very useful and the skills I have learned I use in all my upcoming classes. I wish everyone in my class good luck in the future!

With your paper done or almost done, how do you feel

Hello everyone, 

           Now that I have finished my paper I feel very relived and accomplished. I have written many paper before but this paper really made me think. When I write a paper I like to take my time to make it my best work. I feel that my paper shows my best work. It's nice to feel like I can do anything especially when it comes to writing. I have always had a knack for writing. I like to be able to express myself through writing. Even when you are writing a paper you show your personal style and be creative. Over all it feels very good be done with my paper and almost done with class. I feel great that I can write a paper that I feel is good and be just about done with class. Over the past 10 weeks I have learned more about how to write a good paper and to be a good writer.

Do you plan to continue your blog even after the course?

Hello everyone,
After this class is through I plan to keep my blog. I like the freedom my blog offers me and I can write whatever is on my mind. I have always enjoyed writing whether it be in my blog or in my journal. Writing is my way of expressing myself. A lot of times I have a hard time saying what I feel and when I blog I get to say what I feel. So after this course I will continue to blog weekly so I can say what I am doing and what I am feeling. I am just so glad we got to have a blog for this class. It's nice to be able to write what you want within in reason.  I have really enjoyed blogging and I will continue for a long time. This week has been pretty busy for me with my children and school. I like to keep busy it keeps me healthy and happy.

How I feel about peer reviews

Hello everyone,

           I personally think peer reviews are great because we get to have feed back from our peers. I know when I write I tend to miss words. Our peers can catch those mistakes that we might miss. I enjoy getting feedback from my peers. This helps me to be a better writer and learn to catch my mistakes. In my past classes we had to review our peers work and I enjoyed that as well. As long as we are honest and not to mean or rude to each other peer reviews are great. I am pretty good at giving feedback but I love to receive feedback as well. For me peer reviews have always been a positive experience. My peers are honest with me and are not rude or mean when they make comments. I am the same way I am never mean when I review others work as well because I wouldn't want someone to be mean to me. 

Share what you have personally been dealing with the last six weeks.

Hello everyone,

Over the past six weeks I have been dealing with raising my two children by myself  because my husband and I are separated. It has been really stressful trying to play both mommy and daddy. I just can't do both roles all I can be is mommy. Sometimes I just feel like I can't win for losing, the harder I try to make myself happy the worse it gets. On the bright side my brother n law has been really helping me take care of my children. This relives some of my stress. I have also been doing lots of work on my paper about child abuse. My paper is a work in progress but other than school my life is pretty good. I have also been working on my Human services class project as well over the past few weeks. Sometimes I feel that having to go to two classes can be stressful as well. I love being a college student but at times I feel overwhelmed with the work but I always work through it. I am great at time management and being super mom! This weekend has been really busy for me with working on my rough draft and keeping up with my family. That is all for now good night all!

My persononal writing process

Good afternoon everyone,

For me writing is a process I take very seriously because I love to write and write well. I always start by doing a free write or brainstorming. This gets my mind working and thinking on what I want to write. I always pick a topic that I feel strongly about. For my communications class I am writing about child abuse. For me child abuse hits very close to home. When I was younger my father used to abuse me both physically and mentally. I also like to include facts when I am doing my brainstorming. After I finish my brainstorming I then take the ideas I like the most and research them more closely. Then I start to draft my first copy of my paper and I don't worry about spelling and grammar until I am done writing, then I will do my spell check. After my draft is done I start my editing process. I love to get feedback on my writing to know if I made mistakes that I missed while I was correcting my paper. I use the writing process as my guide and I go at my own pace. I like to do things at my own pace so I don't get too far ahead of myself. I think patience is the key to writing and if you patience you will go far. Just remember to keep a positive attitude while writing and you will go far.

Hello everyone,
If someone were to steal my work without giving me credit I would feel really bad and mad. I would want that person to be punished. I would never steal another persons work or idea's without giving credit to them. I wouldn't want someone to steal my ideas or work and pass it off as theirs. Whenever I have to write a paper and I use different sources I always give them credit in my paper. Even outside of school I give credit to people if I use their ideas. I believe in not stealing anything from anyone because it is wrong. That is why I believe in giving credit to those who you use in your paper or anything else.
To be honest I do not have much else to say to day.
